This is the general-purpose apology thread, because threads get locked and PMs get blocked. You can post your apologies too, just no non-jovial snark or insulting, or I'm having the thread locked.
So uh, I don't want to give links because the thread's locked and all, but I feel that an apology is warranted in this case since I don't know where else to put it.
But anyway, Zinegata, rereading an old thread I realize that I was acting like a smug cock and I ignored your good points. So this is me apologizing for resorting to childish insults and blowing you off rather than responding to the contents of your argument. In the future, I'll strive to be less of a sniping dickface. That goes for everyone on this board, too. It's time for me to calm down.
Also, this is several months too late, but I also apologize to mean_liar for resorting to personal attacks too soon in the you-know-what thread. ML, if you want to know what thread it was I'll PM you it rather than drag up old history. I have a habit of doing that and I'm going to work on fixing that.

The Apology Thread

Your freedom to run/play a game without needing to understand a complex rule system is in direct conflict with my freedom to play a character whose abilities and flaws function as I intended within that ruleset. Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.
In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

Hey, Kaelik, you were right about Product of Infernal Dalliance. Sorry I dragged that argument on with my crazed rantings.
The law in its majestic equality forbids the rich as well as the poor from stealing bread, begging and sleeping under bridges.
